I just wanted to let you know that I spent a wonderful time in your breathtaking and stunning resort.

I booked only one week staying, but once I arrived in this heaven on earth, I just couldn’t leave it and I extended my stay for some additional days.

Now I’m in Ubud, bud honestly, only my body is here, my soul is still in ShangriLa!

I this marvelous place I’ve had a fortune to meet TyeZen and to follow his yoga and meditation lessons. It is absolutely incredible how quickly his gentle yoga exercises improved my body shape! Apparently without any forcing, I developed muscle strength, flexibility and balance in body, mind and spirit.

I’m completely new to yoga practice, I just had few lessons before arriving to ShangriLa, but in less than a week I was able to perform poses I couldn’t even imagine to try to execute! This unbelievable experience gave me the motivation to keep going on with yoga practice. Thank you forever, TyeZan!

Ilona, thank you again for having realized this inspiring peace, thanks to all your always smiling, friendly and available staff, thanks for delicious meals, relaxing massages and thanks to Bondalem people for taking care of beautiful reef just in front of ShangriLa resort.

I will never forget this moments and I will definitively recommend this beautiful place to all my friends.

Dear Ilona and Don

After having landed safely back in Germany, we want to thank you from our hearts for a truly fantastic and dream-come-true like stay at ShangriLa.

We experienced the week at ShangriLa as a small eternity in which Heaven on Earth became visible.
Your dream-team received us with great heartfelt energy and attended to all our needs without ever feeling obtrusive. With full attention to all our needs they took great care with us.

The food was wonderful and very varied and tasty for our vegetarian needs. I also thank you for the additional fruit and drinks.

The accommodation in the dream-houses was beyond comparison to other accommodations! We had felt so great in our wonderfully, individually and with much attention to details decorated homes. We gratefully received all the messages and the good energy of the wall-hangings in our bodies, minds and souls.

Christian and I loved our Temple and daily before sunrise we got up, and swayed in the sounds of the ocean. We especially celebrated the hours before breakfast as our sacred time.

It is truly enchanting on this northern coast of Bali to experience the sunrise and the special atmosphere of sunset time.

We also loved and used the Pool a lot. The extra heated water (we had the water-level lowered for our WATZU Treatments) was perfect for our participants and they all lavished in the bliss of Aqua-Sound-Floating, as we call it. The floating beyond gravity, being carried and being supported, and being able to dance and move under water weightlessly truly opens doors to another dimension.

We really did use the Spa, and enjoyed letting go of stresses, tensions and old issues.

For our Good-bye we were overwhelmed by the flower magic, the music and the festive celebration of your staff, which we were offered in the Temple.

Dear Ilona,

I am speechless.

I have just spent the afternoon with Lindsay who is (I am actually 
lost for words) Special, Incredible, beautiful are all not nearly as 
dear as she is.

I sit at Shangrila Cafe a new woman, I have transitioned into my 
lighter side & I am so thankful Ilona.

She helped me release my bottled pain, helped me transform my energy 
into white light and to now sit here at peace with myself.
Ilona I came to your retreat after reading your "about us" the page 
that separated you from the rest of the Bali resort webpages.  I read 
it and thought how genuine you and Don sounded and was drawn to then 
make Shangrila my haven to heal.

That I have now done & am on my way to fulfilling my own dreams.  I 
want to thank you, from the bottom of my heart.  You and Don, in 
creating this place, created Heaven on Earth.  They say that Heaven is 
for when we pass into the other world when our physical time on this 
earth is up, but I do believe that you and Don have created a very 
much Real Heaven, right here on Earth, in Bali.

Fast drei Tage sind es nun, dass Teile von mir wieder in Freiburg angelangt sind, der Rest flattert noch im Äther, oder besser, ist noch bei Euch. Den ganzen Flug über habt ihr alle mich mit strahlendem Glanz umgeben, es war wie mit pop-ups, einmal war der eine oder dann wieder ein/e andere bei mir und habt mir geholfen den fast dreissig stündigen Rückweg aus dem Paradies zu ertragen.
Und immer noch scheine ich diese Energie auszustrahlen, haben mich doch verschiedene Leute gefragt, was mit mir geschehen sei, ich sähe so viel jünger aus. Nochmal, auf diesem profanen WEG möchte ich Euch sagen, wie dankbar ich bin diese Tage bei Euch und mit Euch und allen Euren Helfern und mit der Gruppe verbringen zu dürfen, so viel Glückseligkeit aufeinmal sind kaum zu fassen! Ich habe eine Stunde Massage bei Kadek Sukerti geniessen dürfen. Sie ist in ihrer Behandlung echt himmlisch. Ich habe schon gefragt, ob sie mal eine Ausbildung in Thailand geben koennte.
Ehrlich gesagt, derartige Massagen von Qualität und Ambiente ausserhalb der 5 *Spa Szene zu finden, ist nahezu ausgeschlossen.
Umso mehr geniesse ich meine kurze Woche im Shangrila in Bondalem und werde garantiert viel Werbung im Freundes- und Bekanntenkreis machen.
Gestern hat sich eine Bekannte von mir mit der "Tropical Splash Öl -Mischung" bei Euch behandeln lassen. Sie fand die Behandlung und auch das Öl gigantisch.

In Englisch:
Yesterday I was able to enjoy an hour massage by Kadek Sukerti. She is fantastic in her treatment, purely heavenly. I asked her if she could come to Thailand to teach there. Truthfully, to find such high level of quality and ambience as you offer it outside a 5* SPA Scene is nearly impossible.
All the more reason for me to enjoy my week at ShangriLa and I will make a lot of advertisement for you in my circle of friends.
Yesterday a friend of mine got a massage with the “Tropical Splash Oil” and found the treatment as well as the oil gigantic!

ShangriLa is a place to find inner peace, far away from the usual Balinese tourism. Here you can fall asleep to the sound of the ocean, awaken to the beautiful Meditation hall where you can meditate. Daily you are being surrounded by very well trained, and very friendly helpful, loving Balinese staff, that will pamper you either through their excellent culinary arts, through incredibly cleaning of your Villa, in which you will find daily fresh blossoms and flowers in your room, or though the vast array of choices of massages, which contribute greatly to your well-being.
The entire center has been extraordinarily aesthetically designed with love for the small details.

Every single staff member is trying dearly to make your stay as beautiful as possible, and is very happy to notice that his efforts are being noted.

I am touched to watch the kind of surrender and diligence the staff brings to their daily work, even while the bosses, Don and Ilona are not there for months at a time.

Just in front of ShangriLa is a beautiful reef, is which you can watch the many colorful fish and coral while snorkeling
